Description
The set is a tool, primarily designed to test fuel pressure while driving.
The set is essential to see the pressure drop with a load on the engine.
It comes with all the fittings needed for both 6.0 & 7.3 engines.
Professional installation is highly recommended (No instructions included)

Materials:
100 psi liquid filled gauge- (High quality stainless steel body with shatter-resistant rubber casing)
300 PSI rated fuel & oil hose
Lever action suction cup for securing the gauge and easier reading
Needed JIC fittings/adapters.

Details:
To test Fuel pressure on a 6.0, use an allen wrench removing the plug located at the bottom front of the fuel filter housing and then install the 1/4" jic x M12-1.5 adapter.
To test oil pressure on a 6.0, please remove the "single wire", oil pressure sensor, and utilize that port with the 1/4" jic x #4 orb adapter. (Sensor is located on top of the oil cooler housing in front of the turbo)
For 7.3 fuel pressure test, there's 2 plugs on the back of the fuel filter housing. Upper driver side is the pre-filter port. Lower passenger side is the post filter port. (Most people use the pre-filter port because its easier to reach) Then you would install the 1/4" jic x #4 orb adapter.
For 7.3 oil pressure test, you have 2 options. You can remove the "single wire", oil pressure sensor located on top front of engine, and then install the 1/4" jic x #4 orb adapter. Or, you can remove 1/8" npt plug located at the oil filter head and then install the 1/4" jic x 1/8" npt adapter.
This tool may probably work on many other engines, including gas engines. If the engine has a 7/16-20 thread test port at the fuel rail, just remove the shrader valve before connecting the tool.

Notes:After any fuel pressure test, you may leave the adapter installed and cap it with the provided JIC cap. The JIC plug is used to block off the end of the tool for storage.

Just as a previous customer mentioned the hose under slight pressure blew off causing diesel to cover engine bay and fenders. Cost more to clean up than the pressure tester itself. There are no hydraulic crimps on the tester to fitting. Why did someone put heat shrink on the unless your covering the crimps... or lack of. Even if it was crimped properly the hose and fitting are not the correct fit to seal. Very dangerous for you gasser people.

The first time I used the fuel pressure gauge I found that the hose was not crimped on either end. After the fuel pressure hit 50 psi, the hose popped off the gauge covering the truck, half my shop and myself in diesel.

Within 10 miles of driving after install the hose blew off and dumped diesel everywhere, had to replace hose with a quality one and use hose clamps, beware!!

Hose leaks, guage broke off In adapter. Fittings seem to hold, but couldn't tell cause the leaks. If it didn't leak I'm sure it'd be great..

The gauge worked good but the connections to the house were very cheap or badly done. Gauge displays up to 100 psi but when I hooked it up to my 6.0 it read 45psi then the line blew from the connector by the fitting, so I set it back and put a clamp on it, started the truck and not even a min after the other connector to the gauge blew appart... very frustrating with diesel all over me my truck and car sitting next to it.

The hose on this leaked at both ends, not a little bit either, a solid stream of diesel. Got diesel all over my engine and all over my driveway. Still waiting to hear from seller if they will refund or not.Yes, all the fittings were properly connected and tightened, it leaks between the hose and the fitting, like it wasn't crimped. You can turn the fittings in the hose too, very loose, could probably pull them right out of the hose.
