I bought it as a remembrance bracelet. Yellow was my mom's favorite color and the black symbolizes mourning. I adjusted it by shortening the strings and melting the ends. Now the strings aren't annoying. When it is tight as it can get, it fits and looks good on my wrist. I might buy more as back ups.
