Pumps very well but would not shut off automatically. Had to return

So we just got this going, easy to set up, directions were minimal to say the least. But it was easy to figure out.The flat hose i bought was to large, ended up using the water hose. Worked perfectly with the various adapters provided for different sizes up to 1.5.You cannot hear it run at all.Seems to be a bit slow, will follow up as it progresses.

I ordered this pump knowing that someday we would have to empty our indoor exercise pool. That day came and the pump worked flawlessly. The only issue we had was that the hose clamp didn't tighten securely and the hose blew off. We added our own clamp and no problem after that.The power cord is long so that made it convenient to plug in. Included was a bundle of thin blue line that we used to tie to the handle and lower to the bottom of the pool. Pumps down to about 3 inches.

I live in the hurricane building and we are prone to frequent flood after a summer storm. While we haven’t needed to use this pump yet we did try it out and it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. With any luck, just keeping it in the house will ward off any future floods.

This sump pump is actually much larger and heavier than I imagined judging by the pictures on the product page. The weight and the size are also absolutely wrong in the description stating that it's 1.28 ounces, hahaha. Its real weight is around 15 pounds (!!!) and the size is about 6 inches in diameter and 12 inches in height. The pump looks to be very well-made and built to last a lifetime IMHO. For its size, it sure moves a lot of water (3500 GPM!!!). The whole pump is made of stainless steel and IPX8 rated. The only plastic thing is the top handle. I have not disassembled the pump yet, so I don't know if the motor blades are made of steel or plastic, but so far it works perfectly, no issues whatsoever. The cord is very long, it's 25 feet and can reach anywhere. It also has a top handle for easy carry and comes with rope that you can use to lower down and pull up from your pool. All you need is a hose, and it comes with two adapters for different hose connector sizes. The only thing that I'm missing is the water sensor that would start it automatically once some water reaches some level. But so far it works great in manual mode and runs very quietly considering its power. Now, we do not have a pool, but we live on a hillside and are prone to flooding in the lower areas near the house sometimes when we get lots of rain. I got tired of this nonsense and decided to try this pump. We just had a series of storms and several inches of rain dropping in a few days, and the pump took care of the excess water like a champ. I just made a few inches deep hole in the ground to allow water to collect there and dropped this pump in the hole wrapped in a soft mesh bag to filter out soil and dirt. While the manual is not very clear, judging by the construction I'm pretty sure it can pump muddy and dirty water without any problem. It's impressively powerful and quickly pumps water out and away from my house. Great addition to the safety of our house, I say. This sump pump is heavy duty. Our son's basement flooded, and this SHANGDA sump pump was exactly what we needed to get it dried out. Love that it handles clean and dirty water (ours was disgusting muddy water). Easily handled the load. Couldn't be happier.
