The string through the side of the cover doesn’t allow it to be threaded on your regulator. I removed the string, drilled a hole through the center of the cap and it’s good to go. Why it wasn’t designed that way is a mystery.

I use these when I soak my 2nd stage regulators because it keeps the water from coming into the 2nd stage. They form a nice waterproof seal against your DIN regulator's O-ring. The delrin plastic seems tough. A little expensive, but I think they will last a long time so it's not too big of a deal.

Very good dust cap for DIN regulators. Seals nicely and is made of a nice robust high impact material. I wish I could find this item in machined aluminum
