I think they should describe this in more detail. You know when you buy clothes and the brand, price tag, or some other tag is attached with those little plastic or nylon fasteners? That's what this is. And if you know that, you might have a use for it. I can't think of any time I'd ever use this, but I did like the scissors that came with it. And to get the fasteners out, the instructions say to pull the trigger halfway and then remove forciably. Well, that's what you do, but you're going to break some of the fasteners. That's not a big deal though, it comes with plenty.

I don't sew--at all--so when I need a repair on a garment, I bring it to my local dry cleaner. When I saw this About Life stitch gun, I thought it would be useful and save me the occasional expense of having my clothing mended. What you get is the stitch gun (which is oddly colored pink and blue), 6 needles, 4000 fasteners (2000 black and 2000 white) and a small pair of folding scissors. The fasteners are very similar to the plastic fasteners used to attach sales tags to garments. It's easy to use (the only instructions you get are the ones that are included in the Amazon listing), and I used it almost immediately to reattach one end of a belt loop that had become unstitched. I used three fasteners (the needle was just long enough to go through two layers of hemmed denim) and I got the job done in under 10 minutes. I've worn those pants several times since the repair, and it is holding up fine. This is exactly the sort of repair this gun is perfect for. I could also see using it for a quick hem or to quickly sew on a loose button. I do wish it came with slightly longer needles. Will you be making a dress with this device? No, but that's not what it was desgined for. The price to quality ratio for this stitch gun is excellent.

I am torn on how many stars to give this item. It has its pros in that it is easy to use and does not require batteries. One of the straps on my dresses came off in the wash the same day that i received this product. I was excited that it happened because it gave me a good reason to test this thing out. It was super convenient in being able to fix the strap with a push of a trigger a few times. The only thing that concerns me is that the part that is used to do the actual stitching is a plastic piece, very similar to the ones they use to fix tags to your clothes and stick your socks together when you first buy them. I dont know about you but i have accidentally left one or two in my new clothes before and it quickly becomes uncomfortable and leads you to rip it off the garment. I have not yet word the dress that I repaired with this stitching tool but the thought of it is making me itch already. I wish the stitching piece was made of fabric instead. I will try to update this after i have word the dress.

Stitch gun does what a stitch gun is supposed to, and does it well.Molded plastic seems a bit thin, but is holding up just fine.

This thing has came in handy so many times already since it arrived. It works great as long as you push you fabric all the way on the needles. Literally, your fabric needs to be touching the gun. I appreciate you get both black and white stitches and you get a lot of them. They’re so small you can’t notice them at all. They stay put as long as you want them too, even through washes. I’ve never dried them for fear the plastic stitch would melt but if it’s something I hang dry I can leave the stitch in. It’s so quick and easy to fix anything from you wardrobe to things around the house. It works on thicker materials also and there will not be a hole left in the fabric. That was my initial concern. There are also scissors included that make cutting the stitch off easier without accidentally getting your fabric. As well as several extra needles. It’s very durable as I have dropped it on tile floor while using and it didn’t crack. It’s super handy when you don’t have time to break out the sewing kit or don’t want it to be permanent. It’s the quick fix that has saved me and my family several times. I’m not kidding when I say I believe everyone needs this thing! It’s affordable and I would definitely recommend it, and have to everyone I know.

This "Stitch Gun" has it's pros and cons. If you don't have access to a sewing machine or needle and thread, if you're in last minute pinch, or if you just don't know how to sew this can be a very useful little gadget. The needle is very sharp and goes right into fabric so that part is easy but you have to be careful how and where on the garment you place it because it can poke a hole in the material and ruin it. I tested in on the sleeve of my shirt just to see how it worked and it made a hole in the fabric that won't go away. The "Stitch Gun" works just like the one used in retail stores to put price tags on clothes. The fasteners are plastic. I think these fasteners would work well on shirts that gape or or on tops that may need to be adjusted if they are too revealing or on pant hems that have fallen. I think it's great as a temporary solution until you have time to fix a garment.

This item paid for itself in a single use case. Here I was, at a wedding last weekend and I was wearing my black dress pants with a grey blazer and a white dress shirt; you know basic setup. Anyway, I didn’t realize that my pants along the leg hem had a huge separation (about 2 inches) down the left leg side. I just happened to store this in my suitcase for when I travel and was able to fix the separation. I snuck upstairs to my hotel room and was able to fix this in 15 minutes and was back at the reception in no time.So this little devices not only saved me from a tailor’s cost, saved the pants, but more importantly saved me the embarrassment of the hole growing larger and creating a whole scene at the reception.
