I needed a Teflon rod for a static electricity demo I give to HS robotics clubs. Wow! Does it ever work! I have a glass rod for the other polarity so I can demo triboelectric effects. Its the right size and shape for my demos.

0.501”-0.5015” measured from my Igaging Origin Calipers. They might not be your Mitutoyo but they deliver accuracy and precision par to match BUT JUST shut up the naysayers my calibrated Fowler Micrometer read 0.5011” at the ends and a maximum of 0.5016” at a point in the middle …. So yeah if you’re using calipers good enough to read tenths (0.0001”) you’re working with precision stuff and will probably NOT BE ORDERING HERE ON AMAZON but instead from a very pricey supplier. This looks and feels like quality PTFE and slippery to boot. I won’t know how it actually performs until I start cutting into it with my lathe and make the new valve seat and you can assume if I ran into any trouble I would DEFINITELY go to the effort yo update this review. Otherwise assume everything went as good as expected.

Not a good material for a drift

Not what I needed. Way to soft of material. Not even close to delrin hardness.
