Had my generac generator recoil snap on me in the last storm. Was relieved to find the spring was easy to find and easy to install. Now she is good as new!

This worked perfect. It was way better priced than a dealer cost. Very Happy

Instead of believing the dimensions in the listing saying the spring is 1/4" in width I listened to a reviewer stating the spring was 5/16" in width, which was exactly what I needed. Well the listing was correct and the spring is 1/4" WIDE!

I could not find a direct part number match for my Toro mower, but the hook shape on the end of this recoil spring matched the broken one. I installed this replacement after watching a few YouTube videos and I have a working recoil starter again.

I ordered this to replace the broken starter spring in my Generac XG7000E generator. Generac does not sell the spring separately, and the dealer wanted me to buy an entire new Large Frame Recoil Starter for about $90. Nope. The listing for this spring gave dimensions that matched the original broken spring, so I ordered it based on that listing. When it arrived, I was concerned to discover that its actual width is 5/16" rather than the 1/4" that the listing stated, so it was actually slightly wider than the original. It was a tight fit, but it did work, and it might actually be somewhat stronger than the original that broke. The downside is that because of the extra width, the outer end cannot fully engage the slot in the flange of the housing, so it is necessary to hold it to keep it from slipping off during assembly, but this end is trapped once the starter is mounted on the generator.
