I have a wired lamppost in my front yard. It was installed, before I purchased the house, directly into the soil, with no concrete base. As such, over the years the metal, where it meets the earth, has corroded and eroded, resulting in the post leaning and swaying slightly when the wind blows strong. Given the post above ground is still in good shape, and the fact that I just replaced the lighting fixture a few months ago ( that’s when I discovered the corrosion), I didn’t want to go to the trouble and expense of having to replace the post. Enter the fence post anchor kit. It is solid. I mean SOLID. It drives down into the soil about 17 inches. And given the lack of rain in my area over the past several years, driving it into the ground with a rubber mallet was a chore. But once it’s driven in, it’s not going anywhere. It came with four rather long and beefy wood bolts, along with a drill bit and a driver to screw in the bolts. However, since I was using it in a metal post with an electrical cord internally routed, I purchased some sheet metal screws that were adequate in length to secure the brace to the post, without going too far in and risking damage to the electrical cord. I also had to use a titanium drill bit, which I already had, as the black-oxide wood bit that came with the brace was not effective for drilling into metal. The lamppost is now solid and secure, and should be good for at least a few more years of service.

We had a section of fence in the backyard leaning due to a failing post. Using this anchor, I was able to get the fence straightened up again for a few weeks until I could get the post replaced. I am happy with how it performed and how easy it was to install.I wouldn't recommend using this anchor as more than a temporary fix. I guess it could be different in other parts of the country, but this type of anchor isn't going to keep the fence upright when the storms start hitting Florida in late summer.

The post reinforcements worked amazingly well! I bought these as a temporary fix, but I believe they will last way longer than expected. I bought others but this one is by far the best. The solid welded construction (it arrives in one solid piece) and the super long rail that goes into the ground. This took literally minutes to install, hammer into ground and then fasten sheared fence post w bolts. Overall, it works well! Fence feels nice and sturdy.

So I received my first item via Vine and was immediately impressed. It felt heavy, well built, and large enough to do it's job. I ended up deciding to buy three more before even installing the first one.A week later, I installed three fence posts in about an hour. I upgraded the screws to some longer deck screws I had. I used a rubber mallet to hammer them in and a piece of 2x4 once they were close to the ground to get better leverage. They go in pretty easily at first, but those last few inches are hell on your shoulders.Even so, after replacing five fence posts around my house, this was a simple and quick install by comparison. I expect them to last over a year and will update if they do not. At the very least, I'd like them to last long enough so that the next time I need to replace more fence posts, I might consider buying more of these than going through the hours long hassle of replacing a post.

Many items are overrepresented or misleading but this over delivered. This is heavy and great support for leaning fence or for repairing broken post. I'm planning to install this weekend and will need to hammer out existing concrete to be able to install this 16 inches into the ground. Highly recommend this!UPDATE: I was happy to be able to hammer this in without digging out existing concrete. The way it steps out helped with hammering and getting away from the concrete base. The metal step that I hammered did get bent but it still looks good. The bit and screws are probably for wood and I used with hollow aluminum fence so they didn't work well. One of the the screws broke off. However, this still worked well to support my leaning aluminum fence adjacent to gate that was dragging. I also think this will prevent it from failing again. This was a great help and saved me lots of time. An easy fix and well worth the price.TIP: I had to adjust this more to one side since the gate hinge was in the way on the post. Once I hammered this anchor in a little bit, I used pick axe to lift fence to adjust gate swing and then continued hammering. I didn't have to hammer the post all the way in. I just had to drill into the post to support it.

This fence post anchor set is extremely well-made, durable, and easy to use. It did a great job of righting a leaning fence post area and it gives me ample time to repair it efficiently without creating additional damage to the fence. This fence kit is a great value for the money!

Check the measurement to be sure this is the correct size for your needs, but otherwise this is a very heavy and sturdy fence support. A really useful solution when you can't replace an entire fence.

We had to fix a leaning post, so I ordered this one. It worked perfectly. It's sturdy and fixed the problem. Happy reviewer.
