one star since this switch will not completely fit a 1964.5 mustang, early model. This replacement does not have all the male tabs as the original switch. on the left side this switch has 1 male tab with connection to 2 internal riveted circuits. The original has 2 male tabs and the plug has 2 female connections with wiring-so one circuit does not get a connection. Go to other parts suppliers (Classic Mustang sources) to find your replacement.

Bought this for my 1962 ford falcon , it fit perfect and I was able to install with ease , my cluster lights were not working with my old switch , this took care of that issue

The hole for the stem to go into is the triangular design common to the late 60s and 70s. If you have the half circle with one flat side stem deign you’ll have to drill the plastic out so that it will fit. Once you drill it out though the switch engages and does it’s job. Just pay attention to which stem design you have and be ready for some mild modification

1962 Thunderbird. When I removed the old one I noticed the new one is slightly shorter, once everything was all installed I noticed the knob was sticking out about how much the switch was shorter than the old one, besides that worked just fine and operated exactly the same. Fixed my dash lights from not turning on

Perfect replacement for a 1964 Mercury. Should work for a Falcon or Mustang, too.
