I use it daily for coffee. If I leave the pot on the burner it will get bitter. I empty the coffee into the thermos. The coffee stays hot if you tend to drink it fairly soon. Will not stay hot after 2 hours.

Love the color (red) I've had no leaks Somewhat disappointed in keeping coffee hot. I was hoping for a thermos glass inside but it's metal Doesn't stay hot like thermos glass.

This carafe was the perfect size for me, and it when I tested it, it kept water temperature warm for hours. Unfortunately, the top is brown which was not apparent to me in the photo. My kitchen is stainless and black, and the brown top just does not work for me. I would order the black carafe, but I am afraid that it would have the same top.

Great for the price. Don’t expect to get 80 deg coffee after 4 hours. Fill it to 80% if you want it to stay hot longer than 2 hours. It is not 100% sealed. The pressure “regulator” will let steam out for safety in the first few minutes.It’s best suited to keep hot water warm for 8 hours. I have never gotten any thermal caraffe to stay hot over 60 deg F.

After reading reviews of this and similar products, I was skeptical if it would work as advertised.After initial cleaning, I filled it with hot water, equivalent to that of hot coffee.Without preheating the carafe, I put the lid on and let it sit. I ended up forgetting about it 😀. 10 hours later I checked it and it was still quite hot. Had it been coffee it would have been perfectly acceptable.Please note that it was near full the entire time, which would help retain heat.Storing coffee for 10 hours is much longer than I'd ever expect. Just the thought makes me want to dump it and make a fresh pot.Point is, it DID actually work!So yeah, besides looking great, it actually does what it's supposed to do.Shipping was fast.Overall I'm quite happy.

The carafe is beautiful and was well kept as we hand washed it. We did use the carafe daily. I bought it in August so we did not have the product long at all. It just started to leak about a week ago and now I see I am unable to return it as it is past the allotted time. I am going to call Amazon to see if they will help me as the product is defective. Its not safe to use this product as it will cause a severe burn if the hot coffee gets on your hand while pouring. Where the copper meets the steel there is a lot of coffee residue in that crevice as well.
