The blade just mushes down on the summer sausages. Does better with harder sausages or pepperoni.

This is a great meat slicer! It's made well and sturdy and has the sharpest blade I have ever seen in my life. The first thing I tried it out on was a strip steak roast, thinking that I'd put through a tough test right out of the box. The thing sliced through that strip like it was hot butter. It has guards that help prevent accidental injury but still, use extra caution and keep your fingers away from the blade! Excellent product!

I love to use this thing to cut up jerky or slice some meat for some easy snacks for the family. The blade is super sharp and precise and gives you a nice easy cut of almost any meat.
