I BOUGHT 2 OF THESE, THE LONG NOSE AND SHORT NOSE.THEY SEEM TO WORK REALLY WELL FOR ABOUT A WEEK THAT IS? THEN THEY JUST STOPPED WORKING OUT OF NOWHERE FOR NO APPARENT REASON?

The stapler worked really well right out of the box. Not a single jam or misfire in 500-600 3/8" staples into wood. I only wish there was a way to dial it back a bit. Recommended minimum supply pressure is 80 psi but at this pressure it wants to blow the staple right through a single layer of upholstery vinyl (Naugahyde). I reduced the pressure as much as I could but when it gets too low the piston wont return even though it seems to drive a staple just fine. I was able to use 70-75 psi effectively but still had to barely touch the fabric while pulling the trigger to avoid shooting through it. You definitely wouldn't want to press into the fabric hard or the staple will end up on the other side of the fabric with a nice rectangular hole in the fabric.

Meh.It doesn't have a safety, so watch your finger on the trigger.If the compressor pressure is too low, the stapler jams, and you have to remove the staples and push the strike/firing pin back up into the housing with a small screw driver.There doesn't seem to be any ability to adjust the depth of the seating of the staples. Once shot, they go really flat. this doesn't allow for easy removal if you are fussing with a difficult shape. And because the staples are so fine (a nice feature), it makes it really hard. I don't want to be the next person reupholstering pieces finished with this stapler.

Others said 'no instructions' and I thought that wouldn't matter as we have a pneumatic stapler; just needed the long nose for reupholstering Flexsteel chairs. However I asked Amazon for return paperwork as couldn't get staples to feed; turns out I loaded them in wrong. Eventually figured it out and the stapler works fine. Glad I didn't return it, as it wasn't defective, just no instructions and there aren't YouTube programs on this brand. Order the staples Amazon suggests, they work fine. On two of the chairs I couldn't get all the original staples out, but this stapler powered through and secured the fabric in those areas well too.
