I finally got a chance to use this, and it's ideal for simplifying snow fun. It's easy to form snow blocks, and they slip out of the mold easily. Perfect for creating walls, igloos, etc.

wanted to make a really big igloo when I first bought it but the bricks are just a bit bigger than normal house bricks. More of a kids igloo brick mold than an adult igloo brick mold. I also had trouble forming bricks because sometimes snow is either too wet or too dry in certain temperatures. I also found that some of the snow had big ice chunks which made the bricks fall apart or break in half. next year I want to try the hill method to make an igloo where you make a hill of snow and pat it down solid, and then carve a hole through one side... sounds a lot easier

Such an incredible value! Makes building with snow a breeze. I was able to build the small wall in the photo quickly and my children could help. We will buy another. The device is sturdy and has not cracked during our cold winters. The openings under the handles make it easy to stack snow bricks. This is making the child in me so happy!

This is a plastic box that you will never make an igloo with. Do you like the idea of being able to build an igloo? Then buy this. Then attempt to willingly go outside in the snow to build a snow fort to get out of the outside world you willingly left to construct a less good domicile out of the very snow that is cause if you to hate your life.

We wanted a second brick maker to speed up our igloo building. This one builds bricks that don't really fit with the others, as they are not as tall. It is smaller and easier for little hands to fill, but hard to manage for an adult since it has two handles at the ends rather than a single handle in the middle of the brick. I guess this model is best for littler kids.

My son saved up his money for this and plays with it every time it snows. Now my other kids want one too. I don’t know that I understand the appeal but my children loved it last winter and this winter. They’ve asked for more, and it gets played with all the time. I would buy again, or as a gift.
