This stuff works great. The lis is a little tough to open, especially in the cold.

The product works well however the amount you get is by weight. The bucket is only 3/4 full which goes pretty quick. Ideal for small homeowner. Bucket is great instead of bags.

I recommend this item because it works fast, doesn’t bother my dogs, and is tinted pink/purple so you can see where to step. Helps you avoid falling on the concrete. I had ice on my driveway and poured it in front of me as I slowly stepped and I had instant traction. Essential for hip replacement people with cabin fever from being iced in.

It may be a little pricey but it really works and works fast. It stays put. I have used it several times here in PA this year and ordered more of the same!

I wasn’t expecting such a small pail of product, but that disappointment was rather short lived as I saw what such a small amount of the flakes was capable of. We had a layer of frozen solid ice/snow that was even left behind through several additional snowfalls and visits from the plow. The layer that can just sit there for MONTHS. I had to shovel a path of fresh snow from my door to the street for the kids to safely board their bus. If I didn’t have this ice melt and salt, I would’ve left the snow because it’s safer than walking on the icy layer. But I had this and plenty of salt. I know what salt can do, and it would’ve helped melt some of the ice eventually but it would’ve taken days just to partially make progress since it was so bitter cold. I sparingly sprinkled a layer of this and salt together which helped the girls have some traction that morning. When they got off the bus, that entire path was black. My driveway is dirt & gravel. Not a spec of ice was left behind. It was crazy to see considering the entire rest of the HUGE super wide driveway (and every other foot of ground around) was solid white. Despite lots of cars coming and going, nothing made a dent in that ice until this snow melt and salt. I’m pretty sure I didn’t even need the salt for the melting, but I wanted to stretch the snow melt further since it’s a small container, and it also helped provide traction that morning.I have a feeling even the sparse sprinkle of these flakes would’ve accomplished this on it’s own. I’ve certainly never seen salt work that fast. It was pretty amusing as it looked like someone had rolled out a black carpet for the kids from the road all the way to my front door.I’m saving this bucket for the very coldest temps and stubborn ice. Impressive!

Way too small a tub for the cost of it. The lid was off on arrival so lots of granules not in the tub. Not used the few remaining. BUT wouldn't go far anyway as so small a thb

I used to up my pool's calcium. It is pure calcium chloride. Dissolved well and much cheaper than something labeled for pool.
