Finally made the leap to this lens and after some time getting used to it its my go to lens when out and about. It is pretty heavy for a lens but it is made from all metal so thats to be expected, for the money spent on this you dont want it to crack or break like plastic, especially being out in the woods. I really like the zoom on this for the fact that its all internal, nothing extends from the lens. Not a fan of how bright white the whole lens is considering im usually out in the woods with this trying to get animal pictures so i did get a lens cover for it. Making it all black would have made a world of difference. I also really like the lens filters that come with this, beats me having to purchase separately and keeps dirt, rocks, sticks, etc off my actual lens. I also like the lens wrap that comes with it, didnt think i would use it at all but i actually use it all the time for storage and transporting. this lens can fit in a camera bag (at least mine) but there wont be much else to bring. Id say if youre serious about your wildlife photography toss this in your cart
