I like to ensure my panels are disconnected before I do any work or if I am having an issue and this makes it easy to add a direct cut off to the panels that I can cut off right at the source. Well made and water tight box, just what I needed.

This was installed between the solar panels and the charge controller. Now I can do maintenance while the sun is shining by disconnecting the solar input from the charge control.

This is a great product I used as an external disconnect for my garage mini-split. The only issue is that the design inside the box for connecting wires is so small; that its tough to get your gauge wire connected on both sides and get it centered to add the cover. However, this may be why the unit is so compact and perfect for what I needed. Just beware that head scratching and cursing may come during install. You were warned.
