Well constructed metal body holding multiple warm white and cool white LEDs that light up the viewing screen onto which you've applied the provided letters/numbers for your home. This is easily read at a typical distance from house to street. Self-adhesive pads are provided for mounting, but if you'd like a more permanent setup, two screws are provided as well as the necessary template. Turn it on inside initially on a bright sunny day and put it up - the light will go off because it senses sunlight and the unit will then charge fully by the end of the day. At dusk, the light will turn on, remaining on through most of the night.
