I have a confession to make: I own a Soda Stream and the cartridge has been empty for two years now because I've been either too lazy or thoughtless to grab it and swap it at a participating store. Also in those two years, inflation has been driving up prices on everything. My father has a Soda Stream and I mentioned refills and he said he paid $15 for his last refill. To use the product, I needed to get some CO2. I just happened to have an empty CO2 tank I had from about 30 years ago when I used to brew and carbonate beer. I took it to the nearest Airgas (you can go to bottling companies as well) and swapped it out for a full tank. I eyeballed the size of the tank and guesstimated that it was about 20 times the volume of the smaller tank. I got home, took measurements and did some figures and confirmed my guess. Total cost for the refill: $22.This means I'm paying just over $1 to refill my Soda Stream. The Aopkeo filler will pay for itself after your third refill! There's one problem with the filler: there are no instructions. Also, even though they show a CO2 tank in their product description, you'll have to get one of your own. If you already have one, great! If you don't, you'll likely have to put down a deposit on the tank at the gas provider. I'm sorry I don't know what a typical price is.Even though there aren't instructions, what to do is mostly obvious, but I'll supply some here.1) Attach the hose to the big tank. Put the supplied gasket inside the connector and tighten with the supplied wrench.2)Tighten knob A and considerably loosen knob B. A is for flushing the line when you're done. B is for opening the valve in the Soda Stream tank.3) Insert the supplied gasket into the filler cap and screw the Soda Stream canister and the cap together.4) Attach the snap-fit on the end of the hose to connector C5) Tighten B completely to open the Soda Stream tank.6) Slowly open the big tank. I prudently kept the needle in the green. You'll hear some hiss and the big tank will get slightly cooler.7) Close the big tank, loosen B, then loosen A and it will hiss briefly. Don't change the order of any of those you'll get unpleasant surprises.8) Now you can uncouple the hose from the filler cap.9) Unscrew the filler cap.10) Make soda.8)

Review of ”Soda Water Carbon Dioxide Cylinder Fill Station 40inches Hose Kit...":(Please refer to my reviewing guidelines at the bottom of the page). We are still waiting on our 20lb co2 tank but I've attached this to the small beverage tank and this TR21-4 Thread Valve mated and tightened up nicely as it should. I won't be able to use the system and check for leaks before I receive the large tank but everything that I received looks as it should and I don't anticipate any issues. I'll update as soon as the large tank arrives, is filled, and we install this and use it.I've done a bit of market research on Amazon for this specific type of product and find that $43 is slightly on the high side price wise. It's fairly quick to search and find very similar if not identical refill adapters in the $38 range. I'm assigning 3 stars to this product to represent average because I have not yet been able to use it, but will update this review when I do.My responsibility as an Amazon Vine Reviewer:Considering the Amazon rules/regulations for being a Vine Member It is obvious that it is very important to Amazon that the person doing the review has indeed inspected, tested, used the product as well as being aware of the competitive situation of the market segment. This is so it can be fairly compared and reviewed whether good, bad, average, or anywhere in all of the grey area between. One thing that I wish were better defined by Amazon is exactly what each star should represent from 1 to 5 so that every Vine member would use the same guide in that regard. So, to let you know the guide that I use, I include it as follows:I always start off considering that average is 3 stars, and an average rating to me is: The product was correctly represented in the ad. The manufacturing quality is as expected. The product performed as intended. The product operating/user guide if needed is helpful. The product is priced accordingly. Then after inspection, measuring, testing, using, wearing, or whatever is required I add or subtract from the average as follows: Subject to additional stars: Additional product features not expected that are useful. Manufacturing quality/performance above what was stated or expected. Included guides and/or useful information that is beyond the norm. Product pricing highly competitive for a superior product. Subject to fewer stars: The product was misrepresented in the ad. Manufacturing quality/performance below what was stated or expected. No useful guide or understandable user information when required. Product pricing is on the high side considering quality, features, or the market.all the best,dr
