The black adapter that connects to your machine has a pin valve that is depressed when you use your soda machine. That pin seals internally with an o-ring that will degrade over time. In my case it failed within 6 months of purchase. You will know you have the problem when gas continues to flow from your injector head, or you might hear extra noise coming from the back of your unit when you charge your drink. To replace it, the piece where the pin valve sticks out can be unscrewed with a 6mm allen wrench. Take the old o-ring off, replace, and reassemble. To find the replacement o-ring, look here: https://www.amazon.com/Vavoger-Adapter-Machine-Replacement-Cylinder/dp/B0C3H8C7P4/ref=sr_1_5?crid=28P9SDRY1KU8L&keywords=tr21-4%2Bblack%2Badapter%2Bo-ring&qid=1696082853&sprefix=tr21-4%2Bblack%2Badapter%2Bo-rin%2Caps%2C152&sr=8-5&th=1

1/31/23: Brought the tank and this connector and Was excited to connect to my sodastream cylinders. When I filled up the gas tank and tried to connect, the air was leaking from the quick release area. Try to see if I can tighten it up a bit but it didn’t work.Return and asked for replacement. Let see if the next one would work.2/1/23: The replacement came in today. And I hooked up and no leak so far. Let wait for few days to see if continue work well. So 5 stars for the delivery of replacement.

Solidly made and easy to use. Note that hose ends are Metric M10 threads: Larger CO2 tanks are very high pressure and you will really want to use a CO2 regulator (with adapter fittings to connect to the regulator) with Soda Stream carbonators to keep the CO2 gas under 60 PSI. Otherwise the Soda Stream's pressure relief valve will vent off your CO2 gas, to let you know when to stop adding gas.

The connector to the Soda Stream as well as the fitting from the connector to the hose both leak. I would avoid this product.

Good quality, materials seem durable to deal with high tank pressure

Just got this yesterday. The piece that screws into the back of the Sodastream is solid metal. It has a quick release that seems a little flimsy. The hose seems sturdy enough. I would prefer to have a regulator upstream, but the fittings are not typical. I went to go to an Airgas store, but they didn't have any fittings for this. (And were very skeptical and dismissive about it, frankly) OK. Gloves on. Hearing protection in. Safety goggles on. I hooked it up and opened the tank minimally. I mean JUST until I got pressure and no more. It worked fine. I got a weird taste in the club soda HOWEVER I can't swear it's from this product. Might be brand new hose...might be the CO2. The tank was bought on Craigslist and was already filled with God knows what. I will swap the tank and use this product for a while and update my review. But...so far so good.
