I purchased a few baroque bows from different vendors (manufactured in China) and they all appeared to be exactly the same with very minor differences in detail and craftsmanship, despite differences in price. Some had nicer/more prominent snakewood texture or were better/worse made (eg. one’s end by the screw wasn’t cut straight). This bow’s wood was inconsistent with areas of lighter wood and very little snakewood pattern. When tightened, the bow is curved (not straight). The wood is very soft so it flexes side to side quite a bit while playing but I’m not sure if that’s just a characteristic of snakewood (?). The underside of the bow tip does not appear to have any varnish or other finish.

First, Fed Ex delivered on time, but forgot to report delivery. The seller reached out to me today to verify and offer help. This is very appreciated, since often the sellers don't do any follow-up unless I report a problem.The bow itself is very long. Keep this in mind if you want an authentic one, since it is a not the standard. I also don't find that it impacts my agility. However, as an ex-cellist, I prefer longer bows and prefer to play this way on violin as well.The quality is superb, the hair is lasting well.TL;DR -Long bow, suitable for people who want more reach. Well made, good sound. Respectable seller.
