As expected. Solid, good wood handle.

Though I was expecting something heavier, with my mind thinking about a baconpress, this smash burger tool turned out to be perfect for my needs. The weight is just right, allowing you to exert the exact amount of power for the level of smashness that you would like. It also looks beautiful from an aesthetic perspective with the color of the wood and the shine of the metal being just right. Lastly, I would highly recommend you use wax paper to separate the meat from the metal. Otherwise, you risk having the meat attach to the metal after you do the smashing.

Firstly, I'll talk about the not so good.My first impression from this company and the product was very poor upon receiving this item. The box looked like it had been trampled underfoot on a dusty floor all day, and mind you this box was inside Amazon packaging and that had no abuse to it. The plastic wrapped around the item was also not sealed. I was disgusted to say the least, I fully expected the burger press to be used and damaged. Somehow it was just fine...thankfully.This is very strong and the wooded handle is nice and smooth. I believe thus will hold up well very a long time.We shall see.

Very decent build, and weight to the smasher. The pictures didn’t quite do it justice as far as the feel of this burger smasher. I used it to smash sausage patties, where I scooped out 2 ounces each patty. I put a parchment paper sheet in between the smash utensil and the sausage. That way, nothing stuck to the Back of the smasher. I learned that after smashing my first sausage patty and it sticking to the top. It was easy to smash paper thin. I almost wanted to smash it through the pan because it feels comfortable being that far away from the heat with the handle size. So my patties werepaper thin.

This thing is the real deal. It’s thick stainless steel with enough weight to it to make it feel extremely firm and solid in your hands. It would be right at home in any commercial kitchen, so it’s just brilliant for in-home use in the kitchen and on my outdoor griddle. It works fantastic for smash burgers, but I’ve also used it a lot for grilled sandwiches. I let it heat up on the pan, then drop the sandwich and put this beast on top, then when it comes time to flip or check the bottom, just flip the pan over and lift it off and see where it’s at, then slide it back on upside down. No spatula required! I love this thing!

Great grilling tool or household kitchen equipment. I’ve used it for burgers in a skillet on the stove and the grill. I like it as a great bacon press also. It’s weighty enough to flatten bacon a person is frying. It’s built to last and is well constructed. Easy to clean after using. Overall, the weight and construction are its strong points. It’s ver handy for different applications. Overall I’m very happy with it and use it regularly.

My husband loves making burgers at home, because he says they beat anything you can get at a restaurant. He's been shaping them by hand but never seems to get them flat enough or even thickness throughout. This burger press is perfect. It's much heavier and sturdier than I expected. The handle is large and firmly attached, and the metal plate is thick and strong. It's easy to grip and easy to press down. Much better than hand-pressed. I can see using this for things besides burgers, but for now it's perfect for our needs.
