I used some double sided tap to secure some 12" strips of this leather to some 1" square dowel to make some strops. It worked very well for that purpose, and this item was smooth, consistent, and well sized enough that these strops helped me achieve the literal hair splitting edge on several knives. I wouldn't hesitate to use it for other purposes such as belt loops, straps, etc. I've paid much more for much uglier pieces.

I've made a few belts with leather from other places...this is very flakey and inconsistent, also it's not a very uniform width

This is a good grade leather, strong enough not to stretch or be spongy. Dies well.

Great thick economical leather strap. Strong not flimsy. Great light tone. Good to stain your own color. Great for making crafts. I made leather drawer handles. They came out beautiful. Looks like store bought. I would recommend!!

I used this leather to make curtain rod holders and tiebacks. I loved it. Perfect width. Nice and sturdy!

This leather is beautiful. Other reviewers said it was “thick” but I didn’t fully understand how thick. If you are looking for a flexible strap this is more of a heavy belt thickness. It will work for my project with a few tweaks to my plan.

I purchased this so that I could make labels for the stockings I crocheted. It was perfect! Now want to label everything. :) I purchased both tan and black strips. The tan was very thick and a very high quality. I was able to easily punch holes and emboss names. I would recommend this purchase.
