looks very well made unfortunately it dosnt fit my bigger twin battery Makita.so I will purchase a smaller skill saw for smaller jobs, then I can use it.

I have 2 saws and this will not work on either.I have an older Makita with a bottom plate far too wide to even fit inside the shoe.I have a new Hychika cs-185c (Amazon) that will only fit in backwards leaving the adjustable guide set to the rear so no way to begin a guided cut. If I try to put the new saw in properly the hole for the blade is not there. Not being a skilled carpenter I wasted a lot of time trying to get this to work as it does glide easily. I'd give it a better rating but there was no words of caution.LaterLooking more closely at the listing the plate I bought was for a Worm drive saw... I don't remember seeing this... but could be my fault. I think if this fit it would work fine. I have not used it yet but I did use the saw itself to cut new slots in the plastic base and the widened them... a little loose in the rear but may work.

It does save some time, but an experienced person can make as straight of a cut following a chalk line.

I had high hopes and expectations for this tool; alas, no joy.The assembly/instructions are at odds with the parts included in the (factory sealed, blister) package; not enough of some parts, too many of other parts, unclear identification of parts, confusing (and contradictory) text instructions, combined with unclear and obfuscated pictures.I am not brave enough to attach the sled and guide to a rapidly spinning saw blade and hope that I retain all my apendages . . . lamentable and irresponsible for a manufacturer to produce and sell such a product with potential for such risk.
