Embossing is the process of creating raised and textured designs in materials such as paper and cardstock. Debossing is the same idea, though instead of raising the material, it pushes the material downwards, to create a ‘ sunken effect. Our 3D Embossing Folders do both to create that 3D effect! How do I use a 3D Embossing Folder? It s easy! Grab your Big Shot Machine (660200) and Standard Cutting Pads (655093) to get started. Firstly, place your chosen paper or cardstock inside the folder, for best results when using cardstock, spray a little water on the material before placing inside the folder. This will help to create an even deeper impression! Place the folder on top of your first cutting pad and complete the sandwich with your second cutting pad placed on the top. With one roll through your die cutting machine, your 3D design will be revealed! Note: An Adapter Platform (658992) will be required when using embossing folders with any of our Sizzix Big Shot machines. Simply place this under the sandwich you ve created and you re ready to go! This is a very beautiful embossing folder. I found it a little bit tricky to use with my machine but it came out beautifully when I misted the cardstock and played around with my plates.

l'articolo mi ha pienamente soddisfatta: il bassorilievo è molto bello e l'ho realizzato anche parzialmente, come si può osservare dalle foto. l'ho riprodotto su lamierino di alluminio ricavato da una lattina di una bevanda ed è venuto molto bene. L'ho riprodotto parzialmente utilizzando di tondi dorati in cartoncino, ricavati da confezioni di coni di gelato!L'ho riprodotto, ancora parzialmente su alluminio (i coperchi delle scatolette della pappa della mia gatta) che ho incollato a coppie e ne ho ricavato originali chiudipacco che si possono anche appendere all'albero di Natale.Su carta da fotocopie viene molto bene ma non va bene su cartoncino più pesante di 120 grammi per mq.C'è comunque da sbizzarrirsi!

This embossing folder makes the most beautiful embossed rose! It creates a deeply embossed image. A 6 1/4” x 4 1/4” paper fits exactly in the folder. Spray both sides of paper with water so it won’t tear. I used watercolor paper on this round of six papers. I will watercolor the rose and try some other mediums.

I used this embossing folder with a gold foil, and it made a beautiful card. Lightly misting the paper before embossing it does make for a sharper pattern. It fills a 5 x 7-inch card with just enough room for a background paper color. Depending upon the color of paper chosen, it could be used for golden or silver wedding anniversary cards or with a white cardstock, the possibilities are almost limitless.
