Fantastic pump, ideal when using 1 1/2” hose to extract water. Got me out of a fluffing situation in no time!

Good little pump, i use it for emptying my Hot tub, I let a friend borrow it when they had water in their basement and it really helped.

Useless pump. I bought this to pump water out of my swimming pool and it doesn't have the ability to pump water from the deep end. The depth of the pool at the deep end is about 7 feet with another 1 foot to the edge of the pool. The exhaust water hose from the pump to the drain is about 16 feet from where the pump sets in the deep end, about 10 feet to make it up and over the edge of the pool and another 6 feet to the drain. The pump will not pump any water. Is it possible that the pump is defective? I really have no way of knowing. However, when I filled a bucket with water at ground level and turned it on, it pumped that water out. It simply has no power. I find it difficult to believe that it's a 1/2 hp as I've had rule water pumps with much less hp that put this pump to shame.

Really strong pump. But the "pump down" number is not accurate. The description on Amazon mentioned 7/16". But on the box it said "pumps down to 1".I got the pump in anticipation of the upcoming El Nino storms in Southern California, and I was looking for something that could pump the basement as dry as possible in an emergency.I did a test run on the pump and verified that the "pump down" number was in fact 1".Sent it back.

I saw a lot of the stinko revi9ews - must have been written by Simer competition. My swimming pool is 13 ft deep and it emptied it in good time. 13 ft is high to pump water. It dide the shallow end very quickly. It is not a gas o-perated 2" hose pump, but it sure did a good job for my pool needs. You could not ask for more from a 1/2 hp garden hose output pump.

Complete failure. I have a 1/4 hp, much older simer utility pump that will move water thru a hose to water my yard. It just has limited pressure. The more expensive pump I just bought has no power at all, even with 2ce the hp and 2.5 X the capacity. How do I return it? I have no clue what I could ever use it for since it will not move water thru a hose?I hope you can respond.
