That’s why you need a glass Bundt pan, so you can have the cake you love, chemical-free. I bought this and used it twice. After the second use, I had it in the sink to soak. Without me even realizing it, I took some silverware out of it that had also been soaking. Next thing I know there’s no more water in the bowl and a piece of glass in my sink. Only got to use it twice before it broke! I will be looking for a refund.

Wrote an earlier review not long after my first purchase and wanted to update it, but was unable to retrieve the former review. After more than a year of baking with the pans I still like them very much. Nearly threw them out after reading the last line of the product description in the Amazon catalog "made from cadmium and lead"!!! However, after extensive research on borosilicate glass bakeware and cookware as well as researching the Simax manufacturer, I found the description was erroneous. Why in the world Amazon doesn't correct this glaring error is beyond me; it obviously affects product sales negatively. Borosilicate glass is non-toxic! NO cadmium or lead. Simax also produces borosilicate glass products for medical/chemical laboratories. The bundt pan bakes beautifully, but as with all glass bakeware you have to center it in the oven, drop oven temperature by 25º, and bake for a slightly longer period of time. I've found centering the bundt pan's tube over a pie spill pan's center cut out allows for more even heat distribution, eliminating underbaked batter along the tube. Although it is not touted as non-stick, I've never had an issue with sticking; just make sure to grease or oil every nook, cranny and the tube. FYI I never dust with flour after oiling or greasing (not even back when I used non-stick pans). Perhaps it's only in my experience, but I've found flour makes the baked product stick no matter how light the dusting. Cons: it's glass and glass shatters when it hits the floor or is bumped into a hard surface. Bought 2 but am down to one. Will purchase 2 more in the future because I bake often and in large quantities, so accidents are bound to happen.

I don’t think this is ovensafe at all. The glass of the milder is thinner than a normal drinking glass….I think this will shatter if I hear it

This made an excellent pound cake. It came out super moist and tasty. It’s extremely delicate and lightweight but, overall really great baking dish!

I love that it is glass, it cleans up well...it is a little thin so you need to be extra careful with it, and I find it expensive for just a piece of thin glass, but I really wanted a glass one and it does work great, if it wasn't so expensive I would get a 2nd one.

I purchased this pan because my pound cake was sticking in my other tall bundt pan. The first cake I tried, I didn't change the baking time or temp and it came out of the pan easily and beautifully but the inner circle was extremely light. When I cut the cake, it seemed underbaked near the center. The second time, I decreased the temp and increased the bake time starting with 30 mins and checking frequently after that. After about 2 hrs 40 mins (I started at 1.5 hrs) the sides and bottom were becoming too dark (even after covering with foil) and the center was still light. The cake still came out of the pan easily and the inside didn't seem necessarily underbaked but I'm still not sure of the quality.

So lightweight and yet sturdy and pretty. Baked a beautiful cake.I did have to cook the cake a bit longer than the recipe called for but I’m not sure it had anything to do with the pan. Don’t know what the person that said it can only be used up to 300 degrees is talking about. There’s no such restriction. I also bought the smaller size. LOVE that it’s glass thus no chemicals.

Excellent bundt pan, works well but makes me nervous every time I get it out as I'm afraid of breaking it!

I am so pleased with my Simax large glass bundt pan. It was worth the wait for it to come back in stock. The pan is rather thin and delicate so I handle it very carefully. It is definitely NOT Pyrex. I'm amazed that it managed to get to my home without breaking. The seller packaged it well.On my first bake, I buttered the pan heavily fearing that the cake would stick. Thankfully it slid right out. Next time I'll try a canola oil spray. The bake was nice and even too. However, I will need to fiddle with temperatures and times a little to figure out what works best. I have no doubt with some edible experimentation I will find a perfect balance. As an added bonus, the pan itself is beautiful to look at. If I could change anything I would like it to be a bit heavier so I don't have to worry so much about breaking it. Since it's the only large glass bundt pan I have found, I will take it and be grateful! Perhaps the manufacturer can make some new, fancier designs for us to enjoy in the future? I would love that.

Is big enough to allow ample room even for larger recipes and cooks nice. I am concerned about how durable it is because it is very thin. I at first thought it was plastic and nearly returned it thinking there was an error.
