We were really pleased with the materials and softness of the gun socks. They are snug on the stocks of the weapons, which is nice, but also have a pull string for closing the end so it doesn't slip down. We would buy these again.

These will fit a rifle that doesn't have a ton of curves pretty easily. If you have an AR or something like that, you'll measure at the widest point, such as the pistol grip to receiver or optic to receiver. Don't just measure width but the circumference, as you have to account for thickness too. Obviously the material is flexible so it can handle the curves but you might need to wrestle it on. The material is perfect for thickness and breathability so your weapons don't get scratched or rusty from retaining moisture in an enclosed container. It's not a hard material so items can still get dinged, which means this isn't a replacement for a hard case if you're transporting a bunch of items. Overall, it's a great product that does what it's supposed to do.

I ordered the 4 pak with the ideas of using different colors as an identifying feature for which gun was socked. The material is very different than other socks I own. Very thin and very stretchy. They do seem to be able to cover all rifles with scopes, but the material gets very tight and "hugs" the outline of the rifle. There is a little bit of resistance to being pulled over iron sights or pointy rifle parts as with other socks. First measurement they are a full 8" shorter than other socks, but the elasticity lets them stretch over long guns. They fit over varmint lights and red dot scopes, but very tight on AR platforms. These socks stretch over a Rem700 w 27" barrel and an 8x32x55 scope (47"oal). They do very nicely with shotguns covering a Beretta A400 (49"oal).
