Pump works via centrifugal force of high-speed rotation of impeller inside (to push/throw fluid out). No long-time dry work without in-flow/ insufficient in-flow, or it may damage the pump

DC40F-2460 model, rated voltage 24VDC, 28.8W, Brushless DC design. Max. Static lift appr. 6m 24VDC (~19 ft) and Max. Horizontal flow rate appr. 960LPH 24VDC (~253 Gal/H). Both ports are 1/2’’ threaded (with external diameter of appr. 20mm). Pump weighs appr. 235 grams (~0.52 lbs) as a whole. In brief, it is a power-efficient micro water pump product among our series.

  • Brushless DC Design, waterproof, cannot be self-priming, cannot dry run.
  • DC 24V power supply. No direct AC power powering or over-voltage powering.If it is AC/DC Power adapter, make sure that it can offer sufficient power: output capacity be 24VDC >=1.5A. Note that Power supply cannot be placed in water or moisty location.
  • Pump supports continuous long time work with relatively low noise at normal working environment. Land use or submersible installation can be either OK, yet pump cannot be self-priming. Make sure that fluid can actively flow passing through inlet/outlet because pump works via centrifugal force of high-speed rotation of impeller inside (to push/throw in-flow out). No long-time dry work without in-flow, or it may damage the pump.

Important Notes about Pump’s use & installation

DC40F-2460-2

  • Do NOT throw the pump or install it violently, as it could damage the pump body. Do NOT throw the pump directly through the cable, to avoid damage of cable.
  • FIX the pump somewhere when at work, avoiding its own moving-around due to reaction force when at work, which will result in factual pump's DRYRUN even under water. Also, if it is a circulation system and water will drop back to the tank, avoid the pump installation directly below the water dripping down, to avoid a lot of air bubbles that flow into.
  • Do not place the pump upside down (outlet downwards, or inlet downwards). Do place the pump normally upwards, or at least sideways, when for long term work in system.
  • Avoid Impurities to cause impeller blockade. Avoid crystallization if for sea/salt water.
  • It is DC head (Female) connector: DC5.5*2.1 (compatible with DC5.5*2.5), INNER PIN + OUTER -. Two sub-cables inside, RED/BORWN +, BLACK/BLUE -. DC 24V.
  • Note that parameters of pump itself at open ports status is significantly different from parameters measured after being connected in a circulation system.

NOTE

  • Information including continuous working time, working temperature and medium is required to be pre-confirmed with professionals; pump cannot work with high temperature or corrosive fluids.
  • When pump is connected into circulation system, load current will be reduced to 70~85% of Max working current (opening outlet current).
  • To avoid possible misunderstanding of relevant parameters, here we also say something about flow rate value & max static lift value of pump products: For static lift value, it means the max vertical height of flow column when outlet is connected with external matching hose/tube, working at rated voltage. For max flow rate value, it means the max flow rate of pump at horizontal level, working at rated voltage. The higher the height, the lower the flow; when height reaches lift value, flow rate becomes zero. Note that lift value and spraying/shooting height of pump are completely different. So dear users, please do not be confused by them. Meanwhile, certain deviation of around +-10%~15% is advised to be left when in relevant applications, to leave enough margin.
