The 2025 Showers Pass Porlite Refuge jacket is our top-of-the-line PFAS free jacket featuring cutting-edge Porlite three-layer waterproof-breathable fabric and fully taped seams to keep rain, snow, wind, and sun at bay. Practical details include extra-long core vents to prevent overheating, water-resistant wide-tooth zippers, reflective trims visible from all angles, plenty of pockets, and reinforced shoulders for use with backpacks. An adjustable hood is large enough to cover most hats and helmets and is removable and storeable in an internal pocket. A magnetic dropdown waterproof tail protects your backside from tire spray, wet chairlifts, and muddy picnic spots. Two front hand-warmer mesh pockets give your hands somewhere to go, and waterproof rear and chest pockets keep your valuables and snacks within reach.

Meticulously crafted features, overbuilt style, and premium materials will give you gold-standard waterproofness and accessorization far greater than most jackets. We've added 360 degrees of 3M reflective trim to help you remain visible from all angles and in different lighting conditions. Two extra-large vents will help you stay thermoregulated, and light loops to hang any accessory lighting. We spec YKK and O'Reach zippers throughout. Storm flaps, cinch toggles, reflective trims, hook and loop adjustable cuffs, waterproof pockets, and hand warmer mesh pockets.

PFAS Free Waterproof and Breathable Membrane
Our proprietary bi-component Porlite membranes have billions of microscopic pores with an even pore structure, giving our Refuge jacket its unique waterproof-breathable properties. Liquid water is too large to pass through the membrane, keeping you dry. Still, the microscopic pores are engineered to the perfect size to let body vapor escape, keeping you comfortable through activity.
Outer fabric and inner liner
The Porlite Refuge fabric is faced in colorful, sturdy, double-lined, 100% recycled ripstop nylon. We add a PFC-free water-repellent finish (DWR) that helps water droplets stay beaded and roll off the nylon without soaking in. A textured tricot fabric lining keeps the Refuge comfortable, even when wearing short sleeve shirts under the jacket. We seam-seal all stitching points with waterproof taping.

Care Instructions
Wash your gear! We generally recommend that daily wearers wash gear once a month or so. When washing, use a gentle cycle with COOL or COLD water. If your washing machine allows you to specify water temperature, set your machine to 86°F / 30°C. Close all zippers and make sure pockets are empty. We recommend using liquid free and clear detergent or products specifically designed for technical garments. Avoid any products with stain fighting, fabric softening, and whitening formulas. Hang-drying your Showers Pass gear is always the best option.
