This is a wonderful tool. Itβs highly effective if you set it up properly. Read the manual. Put the work in.

When I received this sander I was very disappointed in the assembly the conveyor motor was just laying loose in the bottom of the crate and the drive sprocket was broken loose bolts had to re-tighten the machine call the manufacturer and they were very helpful but it took seven days to get the parts I had to put it back together it took about four hours to get this machine so I can start running Quality Control was very poor

I like the way it looks and runs the conveyor motor could be a little stronger. It don't like operating speed one and two. When you get it you better check every bolt on it the fabricators don't like to tighten them up. then they will tell you that they vibrate a lot when they running and I haven't even got to use a half a sheet of sandpaper yet. It come in loose be sure to check the bolts

Ok, I've been looking for a non cantilever drum sander for a while, this one is 26 inches with 2 drums and a 5hp, 220 motor, to me, that right there is worth more than the price tag. But I read both reviews Amazon had on the sight with the sander, one was really nice and good, and the other, was just the opposite, and described his complaints, so taking that into consideration, I still thought it was worth the money, free shipping right to my driveway, they parked it exactly where I asked, the cardboard packaging had a hole in it, but all was ok, no damage. I opened it up, to find a very nice looking machine, but taking in the second review, I had planned to open up the motor compartment to double check what I had read, and I was not surprised to find, there were thing on this brand new machine that needed attention, these thing should have been done at the factory, they have lousy quality control, so, I got out my sockets and wrenches and went to work for a few minutes, and for the price of this machine, to me, no harm, no foul, I haven't used it yet, but I have all the parts, I can work with it, I'll get it set up, and work with it, give me a year, and I'll review it again. π

Bought the 26 inch sander about a month ago.. Screwed on a few handles and unpacked the box (with help, it's very large and heavy) It sanded beautifully out of the box. It took a bit to learn how much you can take off without the piece getting stopped and sanding a rut in the board but the more I get to know it the less that happens. Getting the vacuum system set up was a lot of work. I have an old jet 3 hp vacuum and it does pretty well. I haven't gotten into fine adjustments yet but the tool is a horse and doesn't have a crazy learning curve to use it well. I'm used to a large 20 jet planer from the 70's that can take an eighth off of thick stock without complaints so it took a bit to realize that you are taking just a skin off with each pass. This tool will not act as a planer and I don't think I would use it to try to flatten rough stock but for getting the first heavy passes of rough sanding and fine flattening it is perfect.

I replaced a Grizzly 16" 2 HP dual drum sander with this. All I can say is OMG this thing is awesome. I think it takes 3 times as much per pass as my old unit did. A 3/4" mahogany board that I had planed cleaned up in one pass per side.I ran a piece of white oak from the sawmill through without running it through the planer first and in 6 passes it was clean.Good dust collection is a must. I have an 1800 CFM collector and it does very well. This is going to save me a ton of time.EDIT: I have now this machine for 14 months and still love it. It saves an amazing amount of timeEDIT: 3 1/2 years and going strong. Just a great sander

Once you get this baby tuned up and aligned it is a great machine. I've already put thousands of board feet thru it since I got it at the beginning of this year. I went from a Performax 22-44 sander which required multiple passes on each side of a board and constant change belts to this machine where a planed board goes thru in one pass on each side and its ready to be assembled. The key is to ALIGN IT CAREFULLY AND ACCURATELY ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS. It's not difficult, it just takes some time. If you don't, you will not be happy with the machine and don't blame the company for it not performing well.
