Okay so yes these are inexpensive pair of levers but I got them on my bike so far so good the reason I gave it four stars is because I had to actually tighten up the bolt that attaches both levers together on each brake lever very loose so I tightened it up other than that again so far so good

These perform well. I deducted 1 star because you have to feed the cable all the wat through the cylindrical cable stop in the handles to install. The handles I replaced had a slot cut through the cylindrical cable stop that allowed passing the thinner cable section through the cylindrical stop and then pulling the larger crimped cable end int o the cylindrical stop. As a result, I had to remove the entire brake cable from the brakes and the bike. Then I had to thread the cable through the cylindrical cable stop in the new handles and the back through the cable covering on the bike and the brakes. Otherwise, these work very well on my Panasonic D-2000 12-Speed bike. They make it more convenient to stop the bike when holding the upper portion of the handle bars.

HUGE failure, can't use unless I take apart my entire cable(bits on ends too). Then I'd have to buy more end bits and attach them! Waste of time and money. These things are poorly designed as there is no gap to simply slip the wore thru and attach the cable to the brake. Absolute garbage designed flaw. This is only usable if you build the brakes from scratch, thread the cables, then add end caps. Will be returning asap and riding my bike with just the front brake...Back story, only need rear brake for my vintage bike, had to order set anyway. Silver beaker in pictures are my brake. Black brake is this terrible one I will be returning. Quality is not good, feels like it will fall apart, sharp bit on end from the casting.Btw when held up to my original brake it's smaller so the suicide lever won't be comfortable to grip.
