I have found self fusing tape to be as useful as duct tape. Not as strong but flexible and holds very well. Highly recommend

This tape is self sealing as described, but it's way too thin and not cushioned at all - not a good fit to replace the handlebar tape on your road bike. I've used it to seal the ends of my handlebar tape (I had to use another brand).

This is extremely handy tape to have around. It really is self-adhering, and I was really surprised at how well it held against itself without adhesive. I can imagine this potentially being used in a pinch for a number of applications. As far as grip tape goes, though, it’s not my favorite. It has a very plasticky feel to the touch, and I wouldn’t want to use it on my bicycle handlebars, a tennis racquet, or anything else I might be in contact with for a long period of time. That said, it does legitimately provide great grip, so it could potentially work well on hand tools or weight lifting equipment, provided that you’re not using those items in a very dirty/dusty/sandy environment (that can stick to this material and require liquid to be removed, which I find annoying). But again, for the right application I think this stuff is great to have around for when the need arises.

Self adhering silicone tape has a number of good uses on a bike. It works well as a finishing tape for handlebars. It conforms well to the tape and bars without wrinkles or creases. And it will not come peel loose over time like other finishing tapes. It is also good as a chainstay protector. Wrapped around the mid-section of the stay, it provides superior protection against chain-slap.And if you have an annoying ringing disk brake rotor, a couple short pieces wrapped around the spokes the rotor will dampen the vibration.

I've bought similar tape before. Personally, I think it's too slick to use for bicycle handlebar tape. I use it to finish off the last ends of regular bicycle bar tape so that I don't need to use electrical tape - since this is self-sealing. This item makes for a nice, smooth finish and the glossy black color is a nice contrast to regular bar tape. It's similar to electrical tape, but with a better look and feel. I think you could use it to wrap dumbbells and other items, but I just use it to finish my handlebar tape and it works perfect for that. I will order this again when I need more.

This tape is very useful for wrapping your tools so you have more comfortable handles and also I've been using it to wrap around bicycle handlebars to make them more comfortable and grippy.

This is handy to have around for those garden tools that lack any 'cushion' at all. Super easy to use, Just make sure you do the end well and take your time, nice value.

This tape works well - cleaner to use than traditional black/electrical tape. Worked well wrapping around handlebars. Doesn't get as tacky in the heat as electrical tape. Roll provided plenty to do entire handlebar.
