It is what it is. Fits properly on a typical utility bucket, holds the back, supports your weight well enough. Not much else to say about something like this. While intended for camping, this can actually come in handy if you have multiple housemates and live in a one-bathroom place. If you have to go NOW and a roomie is taking a shower, well, you have the option. But you'll want to take that bag out to the dumpster immediately. Trash bags are more odor-porous than you might think.

I’ve had other plastic bucket seats and they have cracked. This one is very durable and I don’t believe it will ever crack. Very heavy duty plastic. I love that the lid snaps shut.

i had zero faith in this seat zero, for the price what can you expect right? weird idea right? i had to meet my dirt guy at my cabin 600 miles away, dead of winter no porta potty, i give it back when i close up for the winter they bring it back in the spring, my cabins off-grid, 3 day trip to discuss land clearing ..i buy this, i have 5 gallon buckets everywhere, the seat is a lil stiff when you put it on you have to press down real hard to get it to grab but once you get it on its on , and i have to say this thing worked great, i'm 5'10 250lbs. and this thing held up perfect, takes a minute to get adjusted but all in all it got the job done just fine, i was pleasantly surprised for having no other option but to go in the woods with 3 feet of snow on the ground, this thing worked a treat, first time i ever went to the bathroom in my cabin lol, i would highly recommend it for emergency situations, very thin lightweight plastic but when you hook it the bucket it gets strong, great value

I know you want it to fit firmly to a bucket but it's almost impossible to remove. I wish it were a little less tight.

This does NOT fit any 5 gallon bucket. The space for the 'snap' on part of the seat is designed way too tightly. It should snap on but it doesn't even do that. No mater how you move it about. Do not buy.

Me and my husband are developing land we bought ourselves. Currently there is no bathroom which is a problem for me. This works great. We just grabbed a 5 gallon bucket we had lying around. It snaps on TIGHT and does not come off easily so no critters will be peaking. Super simple. It can be hard if you’re trying to empty it though but I’d rather it stay on good rather than come off while you’re using it. The lid clicks in as well so it stays shut. Plus it is a comfortable seat. Great value.

I think it’s better than advertised, other reviewers complaining about it being too small or weak or painful must be “bigger”… However the lid snaps a little too securely to the bucket but comes off easily if you put a bag in the bucket first. My only real complaint is that the lid renders the handle of the bucket unusable.

Easy to pop on a 5 gallon bucket for comfort when you need a spare throne! I should have bought one long ago for this 1 bathroom home!

The instructions say it takes force to snap it on to a bucket. I found it to be impossible as it's significantly too small.
