I provide the following information especially for a person who is removing a pump pulley for the first time ever. Hope it helps. In most cases Pulleys can be removed, installed with reasonable effort but there are some very difficult cases. A large amount of torque needs to be applied to the removal tool to complete the removal/installation.The strength of the Scitoo EXCEDED my expectations. I had an extremely difficult pump pulleys to remove/re-install. I offer the following information:The pulling/removal of a pump pulley can be a very difficult often near impossible task that may end in failure. That's Not necessarily the fault of a person never having done that procedure before. Repair technicians who have removed a lot of pressed on pulleys by hand know that. The process can end with a broken tool, pulley, damage or injury caused by no the fault of the tool when attempting to remove a nearly "frozen pulley."During a recent pulley change we to applied over100 pounds of torque to remove a stubborn pulley. the SCITOO did not break or strip but worked and adjusted flawlessly..Major importance to thoroughly lubricate the puller/installer tool, the threads and even to apply a spray of oil while pulling. Sometimes, it seems Aluminum pulleys bind harder to the pump shaft than a steel pulleys do..
