Been a serious fly fisherman for 40+ years and 10 years before that as a kid. I have bought numerous dozens of new fly lines and I know what they look like coming fresh from the factory. For the first time ever I received one that was clearly on a reel before it was sold to me. To make matters worse, the person who had the nerve to return a fly line that was previously installed on a reel, apparently when attempting to re-spool it, crimped it between the spool-halves and cut it rendering this $90 fly line useless. OK, there are people like that in the world. But how does Backcountry let that back out into the market again? An Amazon retailing fly shop like Casters, Avidmax, Kingfisher, Stillwater, Ed's, Dette's would never let that happen.
