I have a few different fly rods for different situations. A few of them I went cheap on the fly line. This mastery line shoots through the guides, floats and just handles better than lesser prices lines. Casting accuracy was greatly improved too.

Like most scientific anglers fly line this is a very good line. It floats well and it is slick and easy to clean. Because it is a double taper it mends better at longer distances than any weight forward that isn’t a long belly. If you haven’t tried a double taper as a trout fisherman I recommend that you do so. They are the perfect line and SA is a brand we know we can trust.

Paired this with my old Fenwick Feralite 5/6 rod. Had a blast using dry flies and catching several nice wild trout on the lower McCloud. Didn't have to cast very far and the line floated well.
