Nice line not just for distance, lovely for single hand spey casts n trout fishing,you really need to get about 90ft or so in the air if you wanna shoot it all,so if youre buying just thinking youll cast further you wont,unless youre a good caster to begin with but as an all round line i cant fault it and once you get 90+ ft in the backcast it flies out

I am a candidate to become a casting instructor for Fly Fishers International. The short front taper loads quickly and makes for easy mends and accurate casts at 20, 30 and 45'. It would be great for casting streamers but not for delicate presentations of a dry fly. The long rear taper allows me to carry and control more line in the air for distance casts. The slick coating also shoots through the guides very well. I am able to make casts to about 85' with the same effort for 75' casts with my previous line. For this specialty use, i.e., a demonstration line for a casting instructor, this is a great fly line.
