I've never owned or even used SAMCOM radio gear, but I've got more than a few Baofengs (all various versions of the UV-5Rs, which this product works perfectly with.) All of mine have external hand mics, but using them in noisy areas (or public areas where you'd rather not have everyone around you hear what people are saying over the radio) can be a real hassle.The earpiece fits my ear well enough that I often don't know I've got it in. Sound quality is loud and clear, The earpiece and PTT mic are on their own separate wires and can be clipped to your clothing so no amount of movement or twisting/stretching is going to pull either of them out of place.

This earpiece is dependable and comfortable. I use mine for as much as 5 hours at a time. The sound comes through clearly and facilitates remote communication inside and outside.
