This is neoprene rubber that's somewhere in the middle of the hardness range as measured on the Shore A scale. When I purchased this I also bought a sheet of 40A. I haven't used this sheet but did use the 40A sheet to make some gaskets. I think this one would also work for the same application. Please note that I'm not making complex gaskets - I'm just sealing up the spouts on some gas cans to keep them from dripping when I pour the gas. Like I said, the 40A worked fine for me and I think this one would also work.

I used this to rebuild an engine isolator which had failed due to rubber melting from engine fluids.

not resistant to 87pump gas, NAE10. gasket swelled and leaked within 24 hrs. not usable for a fuel cell cap gasket. The size did come correct at 12"x12" and 1/8" thick.

The size was not 1/8" but 3/8".

I need to make a gasket for a petcock on a bike. This gasket material was supposed to work with gas, unfortunately it didn't. Don't buy this if your trying to make a gasket that involves gas.
