I don't know who is writing the listings for these. It clearly states latex rubber. Latex rubber does not smell like petroleum. These things have a very strong butyl rubber odor. Lab grade latex has nearly no odor whatsoever. Expect a long time to deodorize. These are not lab quality stoppers. Avoid if you need lab grade or food grade stoppers.
