With this ligature I get a sweet, mellow, and clean sound out of my alto sax. I highly recommend it. It also gives me just the right amount of power I was looking for. Great Rovner ligature.

当方マウスピースはセルマーソロイストとgottsuセピアトーンをシーンによって使い分けしております。最近は少人数での演奏がメインなので、どれだけ品の良い音色を出せるかに注力しております。ただ、現在音量重視のセッティングや、長年の食いしばり癖や疲れやすい体質の影響でアンブシュアが変わって来たようで、以前と音色が変わってしまい悩みの種でした。そこでサックスを始めた頃にバンドの先輩から勧められて使っていたロブナーのリガチャーなら、リードが暴れることなく落ち着きのある音色を再現できると思い購入致しました。結果は正解でした。長い時間吹いていると口が疲れて来ますが、楽にアンブシュアが維持できます。また開きの大きめのマウスピースでも、リードを程よく振動させながら、まさにハリとツヤのある音色が出せます。ロブナーのリガチャーには多くのシリーズがあり様々悩みましたが、このお品はリーズナブルでありながら、奏者の様々な好みに合わせて明るめの音色からダークでビブラートの効いた音色まで応用自在です。迷ったらこちらを是非試していただきたいと思います。

I'm not going to lie, the differences between ligatures are subtle to anyone but the player as long as it holds the reed to the mouthpiece. However, this Star series feels fantastic. It combines the control throughout the whole range of the horn from their dark ligature with the brightness from their light ligature. This is truly a best of both worlds for me, and I see myself continuing to come back to it for all styles of music.

Être ligature est une très bonne surprise.Je ne suis pas une pro du saxo mais je trouve le son meilleur avec cette ligature ! Je l’ai essayée sur un bec Selmer S90 et une anche Rico 2.5 et j’aime assez le son qui est sorti de mon saxo.A essayer sur mes autres becs Vandoren et Otto Link mais pour l’instant, le résultat me plaît !

I bought this to try with a Jody Jazz Jet 7 on a Yamaha 62 III alto. I've used a Rovner "Dark" ligature with success for many years on a VanDoren A45, and this ligature promised "free blowing." This is a new horn for me - I've only had it for three weeks or so, and I'm still feeIing it out. I like a really clean, bright sound, and with a D'Adarrio Jazz filed 2M reed on the Jet with this ligature it really plays. I tried it with a VanDoren V16 2-1/2 and it plays just as well, a little louder. I'm really happy with the response from both combinations, though honestly, I really don't hear much difference between the SS and the Rico H ligature that came with my Jet 7. But I definitely prefer the single-screw operation, and the SS plays brighter for me than the Dark.A few of the 1 and 2 star reviews noted problems with slippage. I never saw it with my Dark and I have yet to experience it on the SS, so I wonder if maybe they just had bad fit.

Great ligature for the price. The truth is of all accessories to the saxophone...anyone who is true player will admit the ligature makes very little difference unless it is just complete garbage. One could get away with fishing wire if desperate. This is a the perfect ligature for someone who wants a quality and simple ligature without over paying.

There's a lot of rubbish talked about ligatures; you don't need an expensive one! This one is quite inexpensive and works very well. It's possibly the best ligature I've used. I bought it to use with a Claude Lakey Apollo tenor sax mouthpiece. That's a truly excellent mouthpiece but it comes with a fancy but difficult-to-use "boa" ligature that probably costs twice as much as this Rovner. It is easy to fit and adjust the reed position, and it makes my Apollo look and sound great.

I expected a good product, but not AS good ! The ligature is very easy and fast to use, it looks great, and most important... it works great ! I believe that it made my sax easier to play. Outstanding value for the price. I would recommend it to anyone.
