I like this bag because it is simple without a lot of extras I don’t need. The material is soft but has a stiff panel sewen into back. One interior compartment divider that is the same fabric as the bag and the same height as the bag. I wanted this to carry my 5x7 sheet film holders for my view camera. I can fit 7 holders in the bag. I plan on purchasing two more of the dual sheet film holder pouches. That will give me six holders to carry in padded pouches since the bag itself is not padded. The front pocket works fine for carrying a log book or notepad. Plus the bag can hang off my tripod for easy access to the film holders.

This bag is amazing! the pictures are deceptive. it has two interior pockets separated by a dividing cloth. inside that it is quite roomy. the picture appears to be a shallow one and a deep one. in actuality it is two deep ones and theres enough room in each for about 2 rows of three paperbacks,in each pocket easily. I use it for carrying my crafts and it has enough room for a spool of paracord, 6 paracord books, a medium sized textbook on hand stitching, some rags to practice hand stitching, a small round plastic loom, a skien of yarn, and miscellaneous sewing equipment. it has a small exterior pocket between the flap and the outside of the work bag which holds a box cutter, a bic ligther, a crochet hook, and some small items. filled completely, it stretches beyond its stated dimensions by quite a bit. as someone earlier stated, the straps are both positioned on the back of the bag, so it does not lay flat if just strung along one shoulder. however if it is put across the body (messenger bag carry) it lies flat against the hip. the material is just ordinary canvas, and is not waterproofed, nor does it offer much protection against rain. but for the money, these are minor issues. all in all this is a fantastic bag!

I bought this in anticipation of doing a lot of sight seeing in the heat so I needed something functional that would wear well and not stand out and this fit the bill. Heavy fabric, lots of room, the strap fits across your chest if you like so your shoulder doesnt hurt and after all the abuse I gave it it held up well and hardly got dirty. Nice bag to have around if you need something functional without looking like you are carrying your kid's backpack. I actually recommend all their bags, each one is different and just as nice....and its cool it is a vintage pattern.

This bag is THE S***. And by that I mean it is awesome. I carry it with me everywhere (gift my Fiancee got for me) and carry all my essentials in it. It also has pen/pencil holders in the front, though they are a tight fit until you put some stuff in them. Unfortunately (we got this bag may 29th for my bday) the strap around the metal part holding the strap on broke, so I just tied it around it and it works like new. I'll have to get it resewn at a cleaners but it still works friggin' GREAT. A very good buy. 5 stars because the durability of the bag is awesome.Also you should probably get the hard backboard out of the bag also, I did and it's much more comfortable.

Good bag, perfect for travel. It gets three stars for two reasons.1) The strap is way to thin and flimsy for the amount of stuff this bag can hold.2) I ordered sage, the plastic bag this came in was marked sage by the manufacturer. However, the bag is olive drab, and is marked as such on its label. Sage appears to be a myth as other reviewers noted the same.Olive drab (besides being a stupid name) is not a terrible color, and I have a strap from an older army hiking bag that makes this item perfect for travel. Some of the joints may need to be restiched at a later date, but the canvas seems sturdy.

I bought this bag with the intent to use it to carry all of my art supplies (sketchbooks, a magazine or two, colored pencils, markers, pencils, whatever else I may need). So far, it's worked out well for me. I'm not a huge fan of the stiff backboard in it, because it falls over all the time, but I went into the purchase knowing that. It holds all my stuff pretty easily, and I haven't had a problem with it at all. I like the divider in the middle of the pack, and the front pocket is perfect for throwing my ipod in and going. I've drawn all over the outside of the bag, because it's a good surface, and, hey, I'm an art student. It's pretty heavy duty, and I can kind of beat on it, and it hasn't shown any signs of tearing or anything. A good buy for the price, you won't be disappointed.
