OUTBOUND SHORT: This series of lines are designed to cast large and heavy flies and get huge distances easily. Built with a short, aggressive front taper that easily carries large, weighted streamers, and a powerful head design that loads rods deeply and quickly for fast, easy distance. A full range of densities make this a very versatile line series for both the freshwater and saltwater angler.
FEATURES: RIO’s Dualtone marks the sweet spot of a fly line by providing an obvious color change in the line at the sweet spot, while RIO’s Easyrid printed line marking system allows anglers to quickly and easily identify each line. Front & Back Welded Loops, a streamlined, bulletproof loop welded at the front of the fly line for fast and easy rigging and another at the end of the fly line for fast rigging to backing.
TECHNOLOGIES: Multi Density Control is a combination of different density sinking coatings in a single line that gives anglers complete depth control and perfect contact with the fly, while RIO’s SlickCast creates the slickest, most durable coating on the market, producing the least amount of friction ever measured on a fly line.

Great quality line … if there is a problem 99% of the time it’s going to be on the person for ordering too heavy or not heavy enough… I was told that this is about the best line to match the action of a sage igniter 9wt the rod is definitely not for amateur pilots. I was using airflow redfish and the head or the line wasn’t matching up to its potential, still getting 30’ shooting cast in wind it wasn’t bad but it had more to give. After talking to a few people that make a living behind the fly fishing life … Rio was to be the better match with the rod in weight class.

I haven't used it yet, but Rio makes great lines and this is identified as the GoTo line for Searun Cuitthroats.

Excellent line. The multi weight tip is working as advertised. Love the new running line shoots great. Big improvement over my old line. Using it here in the Cal Delta.
