My 6 and 8 year olds absolutely love this RetroAudio Sensory Spinning Chair. My children are not on the spectrum, so this is more of just a play toy, and not being used for anything other than that. My youngest had one of those sit and spin seats as a toddler, which he remembers and told me this seat reminded him of that. Same sort of concept I suppose, just for bigger kids. This is a good quality seat with a good build that I feel safe letting my kids spin their little hearts out on. The seat is a sturdy plastic material, it sort of dips in to the middle (it reminds me of a Pringle shape) which really helps them stay on the seat especially when spinning. The base and stand the seat attaches to is metal, which not only holds the weight of up to I believe 220 lbs, but also adds to its stability. It does not move around or come off of the ground at all. There are little rubber grips on the bottom which keep it in place if you have it on hardwood or tiled floors. You do have to assemble it, but it’s nothing more than a few screws which takes just a couple minutes. It does take up a little space since it can’t be folded up or flattened. So if you are limited on space and don’t have much storage areas, just keep that in mind.I am probably going to order another one because my 2 kids definitely fight over who goes first and how long they get until it’s the next ones turn. So I think it would be a good idea that they each have their own.My kids love it and enjoy sitting and spinning on it, so I recommend!

Fun chair for our 8-year-old. Assembly is super easy. The only major issue I had was that within the first day the ball bearings broke. Completely. And our son isn’t more than 60lbs - well under the stated 220lb limit. Returned for another and this one hasn’t broken, but I did tell our 8yo to be gentle. I shouldn’t have to tell him to be gentle with a spinning chair designed for autistic 220lb kids though. Am I wrong? For that fact, can’t say that I’d recommend this product by this manufacturer.

My son loves this chair! it took all of two seconds after it was together for him to crawl in and start spinning. He is 5 and on the autism spectrum and for stimming and regulating himself this is a total win! we are very happy with this little spinning seat. It was really easy to assemble and only took 5-10 minutes.

My kids seem to have endless amounts of energy, so I was looking for something that could help with that when the weather keeps us stuck inside. This spinning chair does a great job of providing a sensory outlet for them. My two year old is still getting the hang of it, but likes to dangle his feet over the edge to rock back and forth. My four year old likes to lay on it and spin. The seat feels very solid and well-made. I sat on it too and it held my weight with ease. Putting it together was very simple and only took about 5 minutes. Overall, this is a durable product and would be great for kids with high sensory needs.

Simple to use. Even a 4-year-old learned to make it spin, and a 2-year-old found their own way to do it. It was a massive hit in our home, with the kids spinning on it for days. In fact, there's a rumor that they're still spinning!UPDATE:1 week later and it stopped spinning and all the bearings fell out. To my knowledge, it is not repairable. This should be able to withstand the brutality of a lightweight 2 & 4 year old. I guess not.

My 3-year-old absolutely loves this spinning seat, and as his mom, I’m thrilled that it has a 220 lb weight limit—because that means I can take turns with him or even spin together!Assembly was straightforward, though I do wish it came with the necessary tool. I highly recommend using a standard-handled Phillips head screwdriver, as the base screws were extremely tight. A couple of them were tricky to get started, almost as if the threads weren’t quite right. That said, once assembled, the seat feels solid and sturdy. The screws are so secure that I don’t anticipate them loosening over time, but even if they do, the set includes two extras. The spinning motion is smooth, and my son quickly got the hang of the rhythm. He keeps coming back to it again and again with pure delight. While the product listing notes is intention it's this autistic sensory play, they’re fantastic for any kid (or even a dizzy adult!) who just enjoys screen-free fun. Don't hesitate to add this to your play zone.Disclosure: I received this item at a discount through the Amazon Vine Program in exchange for an honest review.
