I am probably one of the few people that still has a landline. Love the retro look of this phone. Functions well and looks amazing on my office desk. Lots of compliments and when people find out that its a functioning phone they instantly want to use it.

This old school phone is adorable. Easy to set up, once I found the old school phone jack in my house. :) Love this and recommend. Looks just like the listing.

I'm a long-time OOMA user (VOIP phone service), and awhile back I bought a LINX from them, which is a device you can use to connect a standard phone to your system for usage, instead of their specialized equipment. Naturally my first thought was that I wanted to find some antique replica phone to go with it. I ended up putting that search on the back burner for awhile, but then stumbled across this puppy, and sure enough, it works like a charm. :) Ok, sure, the "dial" is buttons, but apart from that little bit of heresy, it looks pretty good, and the phone works just fine. Happy happy, joy joy. :)

The phone shipped and arrived quickly. It was well packaged, no damages. It looks like an antique phone but it works with the modern digital landline. We like the adjustable ringer. The cloth-wrapped coil cord is a nice touch. The best feature is that it just works like a traditional landline that doesn't need a battery, hurray! The ringer has a modern sound and the caller's voice is clear. A very minor negative attribute is that as soon as the receiver is picked up, the lightness of plastic is evident. Other than this, we like it very much. Hope this helps.

An interesting phone. It has buttons arranged to look like a dial, which while disappointing is also understandable: Phone systems no longer support the clicks generated by a dial. The phone itself is well constructed and solid. It's plastic rather than bakelite, so it's lacks the weight of a 1940s phone. The handset cord is covered with braided fabric --just like phone cords of 75 years ago, although I don't remember that they had coiled cords (I'm not complaining). The only complaint --although that's a bit strong-- is that the touchtone sound is difficult to hear through the receiver. That, and some extraneous clicking noises during the dialing operation. Not really a problem. The two-level ringer works well. I found the loud setting to be a little too loud. When turned down, it was just right for a desk phone. The shape of the handset is retro. This means that you can't use it "no hands" clamped between your shoulder and cheek; it will slide right off. I guess the later "flat" handset was an improvement but the whole point of this phone is for it to look like and old-time phone. Most importantly, the phone performs well as a phone. Your can hear well and your voice is clear to anyone you call.

We have a cordless phone on our landline so it's important to have a non cordless phone available as the cordless won't work in a power outage, but the phone lines usually still stay up and functional (something many aren't aware of anymore with everyone having a cellphone, which can go down in power outages as well due to the towers losing power). We always keep a traditional phone on hand and this was a fun phone that was reminiscent of old desk phones. It is incredibly lightweight and it's so lightweight it's hard to hold it between your ear and your shoulder if you need both hands. There is no handle in the back to be able to pick it up and walk around with it while you talk like a traditional desk phone either. I instinctively grabed for the two finger handle on the back when testing it and almost hung up as it was missing (I had a traditional rotary desk phone in my room as a teenager that was handed down to me that I loved so I'm very familiar with the proper weight and usage differences of a true desk phone). The bottom line. It is cheaply made and very light weight, but it did work calling out and calling in. It does have a ringer shut of on the back as well.It will work as a back up direct landline ina power outage as it has no need to be plugged in to an electrical socket and the phone jack like a cordless, but it's not as solidly made as I would like and it's definitely at too high of a price point for what you receive. You can get a more solid phone for less. This one will be kept on for emergency power outages as it doesn't feel sturdy or long lived. It's just cute and is currently functional, but not well made.
