I have unpacked my little portable oven, but I have not used it. Once I do, I will revise my review if needed. Right now, it's wildfire season where I live, so I cannot risk trying it out yet. That said, I have unpacked it and looked it over, and I like what I see. It's small and very light, which means I will be able to slide it into my hiking backpack without adding a lot of extra weight. It comes in a carrying case (a thin bag), which is nice because I know it's going to get pretty dirty each time I use it. I'll be able to slide it into the little bag and not get ash all in my backpack. As far as its size, it is very small, but it's going to be perfect for my needs. I hike in a small group and we'll be able to go out and toss several hotdogs on it at a time. It feels sturdy, so I think we'll get a lot of use out of it for a long time. The only concern I have - and it's one that is MY responsibility to stay on top of - are the holes on the sides that are used to draw oxygen into the oven to help fuel the fire. I wouldn't say that they're too large. I would just say that it'd be easy for a spark to fly out of a hole that theoretically could lead to a wildfire. This doesn't scare me, but I'm an experienced hiker and someone who takes part in a lot of outdoor activities. I know it's my job to use items like this responsibly. As long as you're careful and mindful of your activities, and vigilant about putting out the fire from your oven, burying your ashes, etc., you should be fine. This is going to be easy to use, and I feel like it's going to put out a good amount of heat for cooking, based on it's size and construction. I can't wait to use it.

This is great! It packs super flat and is very easy to use and set up. It's also very deep, so you can get quite a bit of wood or coal in here. It's stainless steel so there is no paint to burn off like other camping stoves I've tried. And it's lightweight, so easy to carry. I car camp and don't always have access to a firepit, so having this on hand has been really great.
