Ordered this belt to smooth edges on freehand cut mirrors. The splice could be a little smoother, but otherwise it is a high quality product. You can sharpen machetes, axes, chisels, knives, etc. Also great for grinding/shaping ceramic tile and stone. The 320 grit aluminum oxide is a good general purpose grit for most any hard materials. I will be ordering more belts in different grits and materials.
