pinkhatcat Recoil Pull Starter Start for Harbor Freight Predator Engine 212cc 5.5HP 6.5 HP.We have a bunch of the 6.5 HP predator engines around our ranch. We have slowly been replacing old Briggs and Straton engines with the 212CC predators. I believe that this replacement pull starter assembly is very similar to the original but not quite identical. The differences are minor things like the configuration and direction of the vent holes and slots, the handle, and the color. Otherwise this pull starter will perform exactly as the original part. It is very convenient to change out the whole assembly, rather than try to replace the rope. Getting the spring wound just right is difficult too. So yes this is a great replacement part, and I can say that it works and is easy to install. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Great replacement part. I always get worried when buying parts online, especially at a lower price than most, but this was a perfect replacement. No issues with instillation.
