I even took them apart thinking I could find why they were binding and fix them but upon closer inspection the problem is just poorly made parts. The ring and pinion just don’t work well together. I was able to make them work a little better by shimming the ring gear away from the pinion. Lesson learned. If you buy the cheapest truck on Amazon and then buy super cheap axles for it chances are it’s not going to perform well

First off I bought these on eBay with driveshafts for 12$. The axles bind so bad even with the gear reduction the vehicle barely moves don't buy em you've been warned

Definitely changed the gearing, made it crawl slower, alot more fun for climbing steep inclines

The gears were binding and the lil motor wouldn't even turn em.I had to run the axles with a drill to loosen them up.And swapped the pumpkin and input pinion plate because they were geared backwards.I ran the axles both ways using the input shaft and then the wheel connection slowly, while wallying the chuck around to loosen the gears up in their cases. The binding went from 100% on 3 wheels, to about 10% on one wheel.I'm fine with that for now. They were inexpensive and I'm somewhat satisfied with what they are.

The service and shipping were top notch! But the product had issues with outer gear sets popping out of the casing on the end where only a single tiny screw was used and was apparently to short only two threads holding it.. easily fixed with a longer one. Probably just a mistake during assembly.
