The design of the selenoid does not fit properly. Only one hole lined up for mounting.

This was supposed fit on my 75hp Mercury motor based on the product listing.It doesn’t. Don’t buy. It will only disappoint you.I’ve bought an OEM product from a reputable dealer.Sadly, it’s too late to return now.

I thought my battery was bad but it was the starter solenoid. Replaced it with this and it works perfectly now. Perfect fit on my 1983 Mercury 60hp pontoon boat outboard motor.

Shipping was fast and part fit however I’ve already replaced it again as this solenoid began to stick in the “on “ position which kept my starter engaged and even turning the key off wouldn’t stop it , had to disconnect at battery

Fit and worked. Mounting holes in bases were not perfect but I got them mounted and they got the boat back on the water.
